Mike Moran
Mike MoranExecutive Director
Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in community development from Portland State University, and continues to pursue strategies to increase sustainability in agriculture and the support the Quality of U.S. farmers.
Jayne Bock, PhD
Jayne Bock, PhDTechnical Director
Jayne earned a B.Sc. in Feed Science & Management and a M.Sc. in Food Science at Kansas State University before completing her Ph.D. in Food Science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She speaks limited German and is refreshing her Spanish.
Andrew Mense
Andrew MenseFood Scientist & Public Projects Manager
Andrew earned a B.Sc. in Milling Science and Management, a M.Sc. in Grain Science, and Ph.D. in Grain Science with an emphasis in cereal chemistry at Kansas State University.
Autumn Sicard
Autumn SicardLaboratory Technician
Autumn earned her Associate’s in Biology at Clark College and finished her Bachelor’s in Biology at Washington State University, Vancouver and is working towards her Master’s in Food Science at Kansas State University.
Andrew Choi
Andrew ChoiLaboratory Technician
Andrew attended Oregon State University (OSU) where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Technology. Andrew is able to speak conversational Korean.
Hannah Merrill

Hannah earned her Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with a concentration in Ecology from William Jessup University. She recently completed her Master’s of Science in Plant Pathology at Washington State University, and is excited to be transitioning from studying the beginning stages of wheat production to learning about the end stages of wheat production.
Tristan Addington-Ferris
Tristan Addington-FerrisLaboratory Technician
Tristan has joined the WMC with a B.S. in Food Science from Oregon State University and has a background in microbiology quality control and experience working on fermentation rates. Having worked previously under Dr. Andrew Ross in the OSU cereal lab Tristan is excited to make a difference in the wheat industry.
Kin Wong
Kin WongLaboratory Assistant
Kin attended Mount Hood Community College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Food Science with certification in Cannery Food Processing. He then attended Portland State University and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Kin speaks Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese fluently. He also speaks limited Korean and Spanish.
Kimberly Knab
Kimberly KnabCommunications & Office Manager
Kimberly joined the WMC team in June 2025, bringing with her a diverse background in marketing, nonprofit development, business operations and client relations. Previously she owned two companies and she holds a B.S. in Biological & Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado.
